ORIGINALS

My products are quite a family affair.

The wood for the frames is sourced locally from Parkiri. My Grandfather then lovingly crafts this raw material into the frame, and my good friend Finn (who’s practically family) is responsible for stretching the canvas over the frame.

Now I get to play my part using the best quality paints, plasters and varnishes by Pebeo, Golden and Schmincke.

It is important to note that the equivalent of about 125 years of gallery lit conditions is the same as about 3.5 months of south Florida sunlight exposure outdoors. Window glass does block some of the wavelengths of uv light, but not all.

All works are coated in a satin-matt wax free, resin varnish to compensate differences in gloss. The use of a varnish also reduces the fading rate further as they contain Ultra Violet Light Stabilizers (UVLS) in a reversible coating.

PRINTED WORKS

Ideal for first time buyers that aren’t quite ready to splash-out on an original.

Giclee, pronounced "Zhee-Clay"

Is really just a flash way of saying an ink-jet print. The people who originally dreamed up the technique wanted to make it sound posh.

A high quality image of my work is printed using the finest inks onto museum quality, 100% cotton, acid free, rag paper or canvas approved by the Fine Art Trade Guild. Restistant to high humidity and lightfastness.

Each piece is hand signed, numbered & limited.

The paper gicleees are mounted in 2mm glass with white acid free matting & white wooden frame seeing them last in excess of 95 years.

Also available loose (only lasting 47 years if left unframed)

The canvas giclees are coated twice in UV protectant varnish before being stretched over a lightweight wooden (fir) frame to look just like an original to the untrained eye.
